SAP Lead Configuration/Business Analyst, FICO (Finance)
Exempt Professional

Purpose
The SAP FICO lead analyst is responsible for configuration, development and business process initiatives for KPG IT-Americas, and reports to the SAP Center of Excellence (COE) Manager.

Lead the FICO team in support of business requirements from the user community, including user requests, production support and special projects. The individual must be “hands-on” configuration and able to lead and support all phases of a project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions, as well as documentation, security and end-user training. Manage FICO activities within a process-based organization while utilizing others that do not report to them. Assume primary responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP FICO processes, solutions and products within KPG. The lead analyst will serve as the first line of support for end user configuration, development and business process requests.

Key Responsibilities

Specialist in FICO Module. Serve the organization as subject matter expert for FICO & PA modules of SAP. As a member of the configuration team, this individual is responsible for configuration of SAP’s FICO-PA modules, as well as user exits, reports, interfaces, and conversions. Work closely with internal business users in design, support and execution of business process design and implementation.

Business Support Serve as the IT liaison to the KPG Finance business community for production support, user requests and special. Interact with business users and management to ensure a clear understanding of the overall business requirements; assist with prioritizing requests. Confirm business requirements and develop or enhance “to be” processes utilizing SAP best practice solutions. Lead projects to implement new and enhance existing functionalities, including articulating requirements and translating them into effective solutions.

Production Support Ensure team adheres to KPG production support policies for all change management activities. Perform quality reviews of functional specifications and system integration test plans. Deliver high quality effective solutions on time and within budget. Lead team in testing, validating and documenting the solution. Interact with IT development, basis and infrastructure teams for activities relating to FICO configuration or business processes. Confirm integrated processes are tested and approved across applicable function modules. Develop and deliver end-user training.

Lead and mentor a team of FICO configuration analysts.
Build the skills of the team through knowledge transfer and training with focus on transferring configuration and systems knowledge to Business Analysts, where applicable.

Provide tactical project and task execution leadership, including work prioritization, task management and daily direction for team members.

Interface with team members on a regular basis to provide personal development and training plan guidance in accordance with defined objectives and resource requirements of the team. Administer Performance Review & Development Plans for individual team members.

Manage relationship with SAP consultants and partners.

Communicate with colleagues, management and business unit(s) on requirements, problems, project status and issues.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelors degree and 8 years proven experience or equivalent combination of experience and education, 5+ years SAP configuration experience and functional implementation of SAP modules.
  • One to two years of experience in a lead capacity role within a SAP configuration team.
  • Must be able to understand business problem, goals, objectives, and provide alternatives/solutions (advantages/disadvantages) and drive decisions. Must be able to articulate business impact and IT support/maintenance impact, both short term and long term.
  • Balanced blend of business and technical knowledge; effective communicator in business and technical languages.
  • Must be able to challenge, prioritize, review and monitor progress effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP FICO-PA module, including configuration & business process.
  • Experience with user exits, and knowledge of ABAP.
  • Knowledge of SAP master and transaction data, including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Material, Customer, and Vendor master, as well as interfaces to other modules.
  • Experience in SAP release 4.6c
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and practices.
  • In depth knowledge of business processes, practices and applications.
  • Strong team lead/project management skills.
  • Ability to be a leader, team member and team player.
  • BW experience is considered a plus.

Senior Configuration/Business Analyst (SAP FI-CO)

Purpose
To provide analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation and maintenance of information technology application systems. Serve as liaison between the KPG customers both internally and externally and to other IT employees.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the FI-CO modules of SAP 4.6C for KPG IT-Americas. Team member with Center of Excellence responsible for configuration and on-going support of SAP FI-CO. The individual must be “hands-on” and able support all phases of a project life cycle including analysis, design, development (forms, interface, reports, enhancements, conversions), including functional specifications, working with developer, unit test, QA testing with users and deployment of solutions, as well as documentation, and end-user training. Works directly with business users to clarify specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong SAP Configuration background as a core skill set and a minimum of 2 - 4 years experience performing this function within a large scale SAP system.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of requirement specification, design, coding, and testing of application production support systems and special projects.
  • Demonstrates solid configuration and business process knowledge with FI-CO, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work in a multi-tasking, changing environment
  • Good team player with strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and be an effective contributor in a diversified team.

Job Description
Designs major components or major portions of a system to develop or improve equipment and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizing computer-aided design equipment, develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of complex assemblies and detail parts of devices, mechanisms, and structures, electrical schematics, panel layouts, etc. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimension.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Qualified Candidates must have knowledge and experience with the following:

  • Two year technical degree
  • Previous experience with machine layout, equipment installation requirements, material flow components or equivalent project management experience

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the documentation for manufacturing, parts and purchasing. Review all documentation for accuracy and compliance to standards. Gather as-built information to insure accuracy of documentation.
  • Master Model Maintenance - Maintain existing computer model to "as built" to ensure the accuracy of engineering where necessary to facilitate the development of documentation and future development from model.
  • Produce electrical systems documentation from instructions, sketches, parts lists, standard drawings, marked-up prints, and other information sources.
  • Provide as-built information to insure accuracy of documentation.
  • Produce documentation of accuracy and compliance to drawing standards.
  • Develop electrical panel layouts using input from development team members and electrical engineer.
  • Aid in the resolution of design problems encountered during the documentation components, USM product standards for content layout, part and development costs and impact to manufacturing.
  • Aid in the specification and purchase of materials and components for prototype
  • As assigned, assures that outages involving scheduled repairs of mechanical systems and equipment are completed safely and on schedule, with absolutely minimal errors.
  • Work requires performing tests, repairs and modifications while systems are on line, working as required after normal working hours and being on-call 24 hours per day to respond to emergency situations.

Sales Forecast Analyst
Norwalk, CT

Purpose
Assist the Sales Forecast Process Manager in areas of forecasting, system enhancements and master data maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting – Assist in the creation and input of sales forecast utilizing SAP functionality. Analyze forecast results by generating appropriate performance metrics and investigating causes for variances. Develop analytical tools to drive forecast accuracy improvements, as well as data and process integrity. Prepare content for S&OP meeting as it relates to forecasting activities.

System Support, Development and Integrity – Provide input and support for testing system enhancements and changes within SAP. Participate in cross-functional teams as forecasting representative, when appropriate to be certain all forecasting implications are considered and addressed. Help resolve issues based on input from Supply Chain Product Managers and others to be certain the forecast is providing the most accurate and useful information.. Forecast error management will be required to continuously improve the integrity of the forecast.

Master Data – Initiate and maintain accurate forecasting master data for all assigned products. Areas impacted include the planning hierarchy, product groups and product hierarchy.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Logistics, Finance or Marketing or equivalent experience. Five to seven years experience in Supply Chain, Forecasting, Logistics and/or Marketing, and a solid understanding of sales forecasting is also required. Prior forecasting experience and strong computer, database and system skills are a must. Also a thorough understanding of analytical and data manipulation techniques and the ability to understand, communicate and coordinate the resolution of complex cross functional issues is required. Strong communication skills, detail oriented with strong analytical skills a must. Proficiency in Excel, Access and PowerPoint required. Embodies a spirit of curiosity to investigate transactions, processes and inconsistencies to drive understanding and improvements.

APICS or equivalent certification and SAP, flexible planning experience preferred.
