Peter U. Blum, Senior Corporate Vice President,
President, Europe Region

Peter U. Blum was promoted to Senior Corporate Vice President, Kodak Polychrome Graphics and President, Europe Region in January 2002. Mr. Blum is also an officer of the company and a member of the Leadership Team. Kodak Polychrome Graphics is the world's leading supplier of media products to the graphic arts prepress industry.

Prior to his promotion, Mr. Blum was Corporate Vice President and President of Kodak Polychrome Graphics Europe Region. Before that, he spent most of his extensive career with the Hoechst organization of Germany. He most recently served eight years as Managing Director of the Printing Unit of Hoechst AG, which became part of Bayer AG (Agfa) in 1996.

A native of Germany, Mr. Blum joined Hoechst AG in 1969 as a management trainee in the Marketing Division. Over the ensuing three decades, he advanced through a variety of executive positions around the world. Key posts included: Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Hoechst Chemical Products Ltd. in Hong Kong; Sales Director of Hoechst’s Corporate Marketing Division in Germany; Group Vice President of Specialty Products at American Hoechst Corporation in Somerville, New Jersey, USA; President & Chief Executive Officer of Hoechst Canada Inc. in Montreal; and Member of the Board of Management of SIGRI GmbH, Meitingen, a joint venture of Hoechst AG and Siemens AG.

Mr. Blum is an alumnus of INSEAD in France and the Harvard Graduate School of Business in the United States. Over the years, he has held leadership positions in industry organizations and has been a board member for various companies around the world.
