KPG Launches its Digital Solutions Division at March Open House
Watford, UK 17th February 2005 First announced in October 2004, Kodak Polychrome Graphics’ (KPG) UK Digital Solutions Division has gone from strength-to-strength having built a number of solid partnerships and recruited a team of industry specialists to support its growing and dynamic digital business and product portfolio. To cement its new offering, KPG together with partners Canon, NexPress, Encad and Duplo International, will demonstrate a number of integrated solutions at an official Digital Solutions Division launch and open house event, which will be held at KPG’s new showroom in Watford, from 14th to 18th March. Visitors to the event will witness the significant benefits digital print and production, inkjet proofing, point-of-sale and workflow technologies can bring to their business.

KPG’s Digital Solutions Division provides a combination of world-leading products and industry-leading technical consultancy and support. The company’s new showroom will be divided into specific product areas that will simulate real life digital workflows during the four day event:
Digital Print and Production
On show will be a number of individual and integrated digital solutions including Canon’s CLC1180, CLC3220 and CLC5100 printers for short run and variable data applications. Canon’s CLC1180 printer will be running with KPG’s Matchprint Professional Server software RIP. A Duplo near-line digital bookletmaker and Duplo intelligent finishing machine the DC-545HCEX (slitter/creaser/trimmer) will also be shown and the Kodak NexPress 2100 digital press will be demonstrated during the duration of the event at a Kodak showroom close by.
Inkjet Proofing and Inkjet Production Solutions
Flexible and digital inkjet proofing solutions will also be demonstrated during the event using Canon and Epson wide format printers with KPG’s revolutionary Matchprint ProofPro RIP v 1.0 and Matchprint ProofPro Media. Visitors can also look to enter the market for wide-format production with Encad’s NovaJet 1000i’s combination of low-cost consumables, high-speed production and brilliant photo-quality output.
Workflow
KPG’s digital workflow solutions enable businesses to create new working models that integrate businesses with their customers. The ExaStore digital storage system powered by Exanet enables storage of large files, and when linked to Northmann’s new Automated Graphics System (AGS) provides an effective and revolutionary way of managing and repurposing organisations digital assets. KPG’s Matchprint Virtual Proofing System-LCD and RealTimeProof support faster turnaround times offering a collaborative approach to proofing. KPG’s DirectWorks enables businesses to manage the entire prepress and printing process using one single, integrated, automated workflow solution.
