KPG POSTS STRONG DRUPA, EXCEEDS SALES GOALS IN UNITED STATES AND CANADA

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - Printers of all sizes from the United States and Canada returned from drupa 2004 ready to better serve their customers with digital and business solutions from Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG). Sales across KPG's wide range of solutions drove the US&C region beyond pre-show goals at the graphic arts industry's premier global event.

"Our experience demonstrates the true global nature of drupa. We had more than a dozen appointments each day from North American customers," said Rick Mazur, Vice President Marketing, KPG. "Strong sales in CtP equipment and consumables, DI printing, and great excitement about our Canon agreement combined to make this drupa extremely successful for KPG."

KPG and Canon announced an agreement at drupa that made KPG a reseller of current Canon branded CLC products and accessories in the United States. The agreement includes the Canon CLC 1100 series, CLC 4000 and CLC 5100 toner-based color copiers and associated accessories.

Within hours of completing its acquisition of the RealTimeProof suite of products, KPG announced agreements with leading workflow vendors Heidelberg, EFI, and Esko-Graphics to integrate RealTimeProof into their workflows. Attendees at drupa expressed excitement over the announcements and saw the integrations as adding significantly to productivity through a better sense of color confidence.

KPG Color Fidelity System, which allows printers to control their color in their workflows from capture to output, was demonstrated at drupa and attracted significant interest among US&C customers. Ideal for graphic arts professionals, such as photographers, designers, publishers, pre-media houses and printers who need to capture, view, and reproduce accurate high-quality color for print, the Color Fidelity System works with most popular graphic arts software and provides a consistent method for the proofing and communication of both RGB and CMYK.

"Our monitor proofing advancements and Color Fidelity tools allow our customers to connect with their clients more effectively than ever before," said Mazur. "These products give our channel partners even more opportunities to serve their customers in 2004 and beyond."
