KPG INVESTS IN THE FUTURE OF THE GRAPHIC ARTS INDUSTRY

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - As another college school year wraps up, Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) looks forward to continuing its support of higher education. The graphic arts company, which donated more than $166,000 worth of technology and equipment to leading graphic arts colleges and universities in 2002, plans to continue its contributions to help educate students about the latest developments in the graphic arts industry.

"Technology is constantly changing, making it more important than ever for companies like KPG to provide students with the tools and resources to learn about the latest innovations," said Steve Fullerton, Trade Relations Manager, KPG. "Through our donations, KPG contributes to the knowledge and education of future professionals as they prepare for a career in the graphic arts."

KPG supports graphic arts colleges and universities across the United States, including Arizona State University, California Polytechnic State University, Clemson University and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). KPG's donations cater to each school's particular programs and needs. KPG provides plates, proofing and film supplies, as well as systems that include equipment and supplies, such as the Kodak Approval Digital Halftone Proofing System and the Matchprint Inkjet Proofing System.

"In the digital age, our industry faces two closely related challenges: attracting students into undergraduate graphic arts programs and finding employees with the right technological qualifications," said Frank Romano, Fawcett Professor, RIT School of Print Media. "By helping bring the latest equipment and technology into the classroom—an important factor in student enrollment and retention - KPG's contributions to higher education represent an important investment in the future of the graphic arts industry. We appreciate the company's long-standing commitment to our graphic arts curriculum."
