FAMILY-OWNED ST. LOUIS PRINTER AMONG THE FIRST TO ENJOY BENEFITS OF THE KPG DIRECTPRESS 5634 DI SYSTEM

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - Print buyers in St. Louis, Mo., seeking short run, high quality, four color printing can now turn to Murray Print Shop, one of the city's oldest printers. Murray Print Shop recently installed the Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) DirectPress 5634 DI System and Screen 4100 CtP with the DirectWorks workflow.

"The newer technology of the unit's imaging heads provides image quality that's comparable to traditional offset," said Tim Alton, Owner, Murray Print Shop. "Now we can offer customers a wider range of services. It gives us a more competitive edge with both quality and pricing."

The new KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System with the DirectWorks workflow combines industry leading image quality with the simplicity and automation of a DI Press. This KPG DirectPress 5634 DI System with DirectWorks supports 16-micron dot diameters for 300 line AM, and hybrid screening.

By integrating KPG color, the DirectWorks software enables color management across a variety of technologies to deliver more accurate and consistent color. The DirectWorks software streamlines operations by automating prepress activities such as pre-flight, correct, trapping, imposition, approval and ripping.

Murray Print Shop celebrates 50 years of service this year. The company provides two and four color printing, high speed digital black and white and color copies, and full bindery services.
