QUICK PRINTING COMPANY INSTALLS A SECOND KPG DIRECTPRESS 5034 DI SYSTEM TO MEET CUSTOMER DEMAND
Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - Royal Printing Service recently installed a second Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) DirectPress 5034 DI System to assist the company in keeping up with a growing demand for its printing services.
"We were one of the first printers in the area to embrace short run color," said Susan Weady, President, Royal Printing Service. "Our original KPG DirectPress 5034 DI System already has one million impressions. We needed to install a second press in order to meet the demand."
Prior to purchasing its first KPG DirectPress, Royal Printing Service did not offer process color printing. It now constitutes nearly 50 percent of the company's gross income.
Located in Guilford, Conn., Royal Printing Service was rated number 69 on Quick Printing Magazine's 2003 top 100 list, up 11 spots from last year. The quick printer offers copying, short run color printing, bindery, full service design and electronic file preparation services.
The KPG DirectPress 5034 DI System brings together the quality advantages of offset printing with the workflow and automation benefits of digital printing. This combination presents new growth opportunities for commercial printers, trade shops, or digital service bureaus that want to tap into the growing demand for high quality, quick turnaround, short run, four color work.
