Litho Aluminum

Litho Aluminium is the preferred substrate for Pre-Sensitised (PS) offset plates because of the inherent characteristics of Aluminium. Aluminum is light weight; soft (becomes hard by the anodizing process); dimensionally stable; receptive to water and capable of fine graining.

Only virgin Aluminium (primary smelting) with tightly controlled composition tolerances is used to produce Litho Aluminium using complex processing (hot rolling, cold rolling, inter annealing and special finishing).

The Litho Aluminium manufacturing process assures

  • consistent mechanical properties through metallurgical uniformity
  • no internal mechanical stress
  • high degree of flatness
  • tight gauge and width tolerances
  • a product free of the smallest mechanical and chemical defects.
